Aerotech had numerous systems running on multiple servers, which resulted in storage issues and system bottle necks – and had a negative impact on their network performance.

Our solution

By installing virtualised technologies using VMware, we were able to consolidate Aerotech’s multiple servers down to four physical machines. We also implemented fibre channel SAN solution and a remote disaster recovery package.

This consolidation had the effect of reducing their energy consumption, speeding up the network performance by reducing bottle neck, and offering real-time system recovery with snap shot technology through VMware.
