K2 was a rapidly expanding greetings card design company which now has multiple retail outlets in Manchester and across the North West.

K2 required a centralised server solution at their head office in Bury, Lancashire with point to point connections to their branch retail outlets, enabling the synchronisation of their SQL Server data to the remote EPOS systems.

Manchester based Novem Group responded to the clients needs by implementing a Windows Server 2008 solution with SQL Server 2008.

Novem created a 'Hub & Spoke' network architecture using Cisco VPN routers for the branch outlets to synchronise their localised SQL databases.

K2 now benefit from fault tolerant business data that it replicated to branch sites automatically ensuring business continuity in the event of any network failure.
