Fibre Optics
As the demand for speed and transmission distance grows it is not always possible to specify copper based systems. As a result, cables using optical fibres are becoming a cost effective option for modern high-speed data networks. High bandwidth over long distances, coupled with improved security and resilience (EMI and RMI), makes fibre an excellent choice when designing high performance data networks.

Telephone Cabling
PABX telephone systems frequently use traditional cabling which conforms to BS 6701. These systems often require moves, additions and changes to this extension cabling.
Novem Ltd employs BT trained engineers who have performed this type of work for many years. We can therefore offer a comprehensive service, from site survey through to completed installation. All sizes of jobs are undertaken, from the provision of a single extension to the complete re-wire of a new building. Records showing routes, cable size and locations can be done on completion.
Data Cabling
Novem has the advantage of being able to offer a choice of cabling systems from suppliers including Hellermann Tyton and Connectix. Each system is installed and tested to the appropriate standards and carries a comprehensive twenty-five year warranty.
On new installations Cat5e or Cat6 will be installed as standard, when expanding existing networks the appropriate standard would be used. We supply cable, faceplates and patch panels, and each individual cable is coded and test certified with Fluke Technolo.
